 Moscow Society of Greeks invites to studies of painting for the children from 5 till 9 years.
The studies will held in the Greek school from 3rd of February, 2007 in the Church of All Holies on Kulishkax on Saturdays.
For all comers.
The purpose of studies:
The purpose of all studies is the development of feeling of understanding the beauty, the right appraisal of works of art, Orthodox traditions in the art.
And the main purpose is the wishing of everybody to make the world more interesting and beautiful.

At 8 to 10th of December 2006 in Thessalonica at Center of Ioannis Vellidis took place the 6th worldwide congress of Hellenism (SAE). At the congress were represented seven regions, three of which are new – countries of the former Soviet Union – Canada and South America.
The Russian delegation included 13 persons the head of which ones was the Coordinator of 5th Region of the former Soviet Union, the President of Association of Public Greek Organizations in Russia, the parliamentarian of the National House of Russian Federation, I.I. Savvidi.
Moscow’s region was represented in the name of the Vice-President of Association of Public Greek Organizations in Russia, the president of Moscow’s Hellenic community K. Atmachidi. After his return Mr. Atmachidi shared his impressions.
One of the main issues of the congress became the election for the new leadership of SAE, in the place of the well nown and much offering for Greeks president Athens. There were 3 pre-election programs proposed by 3 candidates. The election was not easy. The first round couldn’t define the president of SAE. The results of the second round defined as winner the candidate of Egypt Mr. Tambakis.
We, together with the President and Vice-President, had the chance to discuss with Mr. Stefanos Tambakis, find out his looks on the actual problems of Greeks living in Russia. As a whole view, we shared the same points of the resolution of problematical issues and realization of program SAE in Russia. We touched as well the issues of increasing the effectivity of using the possibilities and resources of SAE. But it would be wrong to think that we discussed only financial issues, even if I won’t hide that, we didn’t put them in a side. First of all, in our discussion, the attention was stressed on the support of learning the Greek language, extension of educational programs and activisation the participation of SAE in Greek’s life on the territory of our country.
I would like to note that it was very nice to see the impression that succeeded our video with the compatriots – cosmonaut Theodor Yurchihin and first President of Association of Public Greek Organizations in Russia Gavriil Popov, prepared by Greek Society of Moscow.
Very serious problems were touched also in the speech of I. Savvidi, such as genocide of Pontiac people, Stalinic repressions, and the growing threat of preserving the national identity…
The participation of our delegation in the 6th congress of SAE has estimate as high resultative. With the president of SAE was discussed the further work of the Association of Public Greek Organizations of Russia. There were outlined plans for the main directions of Russian Greek community’s activity for the 2007. With their leadership we agreed in the need of close cooperation, coactions, experience exchange, helping Greeks who are staying out of their Region. Vice-Presidents of Association of Public Greek Organizations of Russia Y. Aslanidi, V. Kolozaridi and others had a warm discussion over the direction of the pointed effort activities. In the end, these ideas were supported by all presidents of Regional Greek Communities of Russia. I suppose that at the end of the next year the results of our work will be mentioned for many Greeks of Russia… |
